Rapid City Police Investigating Unattended Death After Woman Found Dead on Cambell Street

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Police Department is investigating an unattended death after a woman was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead Monday morning on Cambell Street.

The deceased has been identified as Amanda Hart.

According to the Rapid City Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20, to the 1400 block of Cambell Street after receiving a report of an unresponsive woman.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located Hart and determined that she was deceased.

Investigation Underway

Police immediately began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Hart’s death. Detectives and investigators responded to the scene to document evidence and gather information as part of the routine investigative process that follows an unattended death.
