Jade Aliyah Ramirez, a 19-year-old Caldwell mother, was tragically killed in a fatal vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident in Nampa, and police have since arrested Alissa Mae Huerta, an 18-year-old Caldwell woman, after investigators determined the vehicle strike was an intentional act. The incident has deeply affected the Caldwell and Nampa communities as family and friends continue mourning Ramirez’s sudden and devastating loss.

On July 26, 2026, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Nampa Police officers responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle and injured in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Caldwell Boulevard. Ramirez was found with severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures. Despite those efforts, she died from multiple blunt force injuries.

Initially, investigators said there was not enough evidence to immediately charge anyone in connection with the incident, and detectives continued working to determine what led to the collision. During the investigation, police learned that Ramirez and Huerta had been involved in an altercation before the vehicle struck Ramirez.

As detectives gathered additional evidence, they concluded that the act of striking Ramirez with the vehicle was intentional. Huerta was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder. She was transported and booked into the Canyon County Jail.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and are encouraging anyone with information, including witnesses who may have seen the incident or have relevant details, to contact Nampa Police and leave a voicemail at 208-468-5633.

The tragedy has left a community grieving the loss of Jade Aliyah Ramirez, a young mother whose life was taken far too soon. Loved ones continue to remember her while seeking justice and answers surrounding the circumstances of her death.
