The London community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jason Hoskins, a 52-year-old London man who died following a serious vehicle collision on East Laurel Road Saturday evening. Hoskins’ sudden passing has left family, friends, and loved ones grieving as they remember a life that was taken far too soon.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 6:26 p.m., approximately six miles east of London. Authorities said Hoskins was driving a Dodge Durango when he pulled out from a business parking lot onto East Laurel Road and entered the path of a westbound Ford F250 driven by an 18-year-old London resident.

The two vehicles collided with significant force, and Hoskins was transported to St. Joseph Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the crash. A 65-year-old London woman who was a passenger in Hoskins’ vehicle suffered critical injuries and was flown by helicopter to a Lexington hospital for further treatment.

The driver and a passenger of the Ford F250, both 18 years old, were also taken to a hospital by private vehicle for possible injuries.

As investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision, East Laurel Road was temporarily closed, allowing emergency crews to respond and conduct their investigation.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Bush Fire and Rescue, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, the London-Laurel Rescue Squad, Magistrate Bobby Overbey, and the Laurel County Coroner’s Office.

As loved ones remember Jason Hoskins, they hold close the memories, moments, and impact he shared with those around him. His life will be remembered, and his loss deeply felt by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
