Tulsa Man Arrested for Second-Degree Murder After Fatal Shooting Outside After-Hours Lounge

TULSA, Okla. — A 28-year-old Tulsa man has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge following a fatal shooting outside an after-hours lounge early Sunday morning that left a 47-year-old man dead, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

The shooting occurred in the parking lot outside Flavourz Lounge, located near 71st Street and Memorial Drive, where a large crowd had gathered after the venue closed.

Police identified the victim as 47-year-old Ahmod Henry, who later died from a gunshot wound after being transported to a nearby hospital. The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Ladrea Doyle, who was taken into custody hours after the shooting.

Shots Fired During Large Gathering

According to the Tulsa Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 4:15 a.m. on July 19, 2026, after receiving reports of gunfire outside Flavourz Lounge.

Before officers arrived, security personnel at the business had contacted authorities to report a large crowd congregating in the parking lot. According to investigators, many people were drinking outside, and security informed dispatchers that one individual in the crowd was displaying a handgun.

While security remained on the phone with emergency dispatchers, multiple gunshots rang out across the parking lot, sending dozens of people scrambling for safety.

Responding officers arrived within minutes and secured the area. Although investigators located numerous spent shell casings scattered throughout the parking lot, they initially found no shooting victims at the scene, as many people had already fled following the gunfire.

Victim Dies at Hospital

Approximately 15 minutes later, at around 4:30 a.m., officers learned that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had been transported from Flavourz Lounge to a nearby hospital.

The victim, identified as Ahmod Henry, was treated by medical personnel but later died from his injuries.

His death prompted the Tulsa Police Department’s Homicide Unit to assume control of the investigation.

Surveillance Video Leads Detectives to Suspect

As detectives processed the crime scene, they obtained and reviewed surveillance footage from the area surrounding the shooting.

According to investigators, the video identified Ladrea Doyle as the suspected gunman and showed him leaving the scene shortly after the shooting.

The information was shared with the department’s Fugitive Warrants Unit, which quickly began searching for Doyle.

Investigators ultimately tracked him to an apartment complex near 81st Street and Yale Avenue.

Arrest Made Hours After Shooting

Police said officers arrived at the apartment just as Doyle was leaving the residence.

He was taken into custody without incident.

During questioning, Doyle admitted to shooting Henry but claimed he acted after the victim allegedly caused disturbances during the gathering.

According to police, Doyle told investigators that Henry had been creating problems at the party and attempted to grab the firearm before Doyle fired the fatal shot.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the events immediately preceding the shooting, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

Charges Filed

Following consultation with the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutors determined there was sufficient evidence to file criminal charges.

Doyle was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on charges of:

• Second-Degree Murder
• Possession of a Firearm After Former Conviction of a Felony (AFCF)

The charges allege that Doyle, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm because of a prior felony conviction, unlawfully possessed the weapon used in the fatal shooting.

Second-degree murder charges generally allege that a person caused another individual’s death under circumstances that do not require proof of premeditation but still constitute a criminal homicide under Oklahoma law.

Investigation Continues

The Tulsa Police Department continues to investigate the fatal shooting and is working to determine the full sequence of events that led to the deadly encounter.

Detectives are reviewing additional surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses who were present during the large gathering, and processing physical evidence recovered from the parking lot.

Authorities have not announced whether additional arrests or charges are expected.
