On the evening of July 16, deputies with the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a woman found in a roadside ditch along County Road 39 near Deer River, Minnesota. Upon arrival, they discovered Rikki Skog, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have confirmed that her death is being treated as suspicious, and the investigation remains ongoing. Preliminary information indicates that Rikki was last seen on July 15.
To assist with the case, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Crime Scene Team has joined local investigators in processing the scene and gathering evidence.
