The heartbreaking loss of Mason Havard, an 18-year-old from Pulaski, Mississippi, has left his family, friends, and community mourning a life taken far too soon. Mason tragically died on Thursday morning following a devastating single-vehicle crash on Mississippi Highway 481 in Scott County. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:37 a.m. when Mason was traveling southbound in a 2002 Ford Taurus. For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree, causing catastrophic damage. Mason, who was the only person inside the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and authorities have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the highway.
