FORNEY, Texas — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of Envy Shay at a residence in the 300 block of Eagle Ridge, leaving family, friends, and the community searching for answers as police work to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
According to the Forney Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the location and discovered that one person had been killed. Family members later identified the victim as Envy Shay, whose death has brought heartbreak and grief to those who knew and loved her.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and have launched an active investigation to determine what led up to the deadly encounter. Police are working to gather evidence, speak with witnesses, and identify those responsible for the violence.
Authorities are currently searching for two suspects who were reportedly last seen in the areas of Eagle Ridge, Van Buren, and Cisco. Investigators believe the suspects may have left the scene in a vehicle following the shooting.
Police described one suspect as a Black male approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 1 inch tall, wearing all-black clothing. The second suspect was described as a taller, lighter-skinned Black male wearing a gray shirt and a black mask.
Residents in the area are being urged to remain alert and avoid the immediate scene while detectives continue their work. The Forney Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooting, the suspects, or any details that could assist the investigation to come forward.
The case remains active as authorities continue seeking answers and working toward justice for Envy Shay and her loved ones.
