Daniel Siad, a French model recruiter who became widely known for his long-standing association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead at his home in Colombes, west of Paris. French prosecutors confirmed that his body was discovered on Monday, with authorities ordering an autopsy to determine the cause of death. At this stage, officials have not announced the cause of his death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Siad had come under intense public scrutiny after documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice showed his name appearing thousands of times in files connected to Epstein. The records included messages in which Siad introduced young women to Epstein and discussed potential modeling opportunities and assistant positions. Several women have alleged that these introductions ultimately led to abuse by Epstein, although Siad consistently denied knowingly facilitating exploitation and claimed he believed Epstein’s assurances that he had changed following his earlier conviction.
Beyond his connections to Epstein, Siad was also facing separate allegations in France, including a rape accusation dating back decades. He denied those allegations, and the matter remained unresolved. French authorities had also been reviewing information related to his activities as part of a broader criminal investigation into Epstein’s ties to the modeling industry.
Siad’s death has renewed public interest in the Epstein network and the individuals who maintained relationships with him over the years. Many continue to call for greater transparency regarding the investigations and the release of additional records connected to Epstein’s associates. While speculation has circulated online, officials have released no evidence linking Siad’s death to any criminal act, and authorities say the autopsy findings will help determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
