A devastating wave of grief has swept through the Brighton Heights community following the tragic death of Michael Wade, a 15-year-old whose promising future was stolen in a heartbreaking accident on McKnight Road. What began as an ordinary Thursday night ended in unimaginable sorrow when Michael was struck by a vehicle, leaving his family, friends, classmates, and neighbors mourning the loss of a young life taken far too soon.

 

According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, Michael succumbed to the injuries he suffered in the collision. Emergency responders, including police officers, firefighters, and paramedics, rushed to the 5000 block of McKnight Road at approximately 9:56 p.m., but despite their efforts, the teenager could not be saved.
