The sudden passing of 26-year-old Hannah Rapp has filled the hearts of her family, friends, and the Brazos County community with profound sorrow. Hannah lost her life following a tragic bicycle collision on the morning of Saturday, July 18, 2026, on FM 159. While the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, those who knew Hannah are choosing to remember her for the light she brought into the lives of others rather than the heartbreaking event that took her away.
Authorities with the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 23000 block of FM 159 shortly before 10:00 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash involving a bicyclist and a vehicle. First responders quickly arrived and worked tirelessly to provide emergency treatment before Hannah was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite every effort by medical personnel, she later died from her injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified the driver as 31-year-old Charles Medina. Investigators allege that after passing two bicyclists, Medina stopped his vehicle, reversed, and struck one of the cyclists. Officials have stated they believe the incident was isolated. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue collecting evidence and examining the facts. Medina has since been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
