Natalie Clements, 40, was found dead with a serious head injury after police were called to a property on Birkdale in Bracknell shortly before 7 a.m. on July 15. Following an investigation, Matthew Robert Wilkie, 48, of Liscombe, Bracknell, was charged with one count of murder in connection with her death and is due to appear before Reading Magistrates’ Court.
Thames Valley Police responded to reports of an incident at the property, where officers found Natalie suffering from severe head injuries. Paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service attended the scene and made every effort to save her life, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Home Office post-mortem examination later confirmed that Natalie died as a result of head injuries. Detectives subsequently launched a murder investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding her death.
Matthew Robert Wilkie was arrested and later formally charged with murder. He has been remanded in custody and will begin legal proceedings at Reading Magistrates’ Court. The charge is an allegation, and the case will now proceed through the courts.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances leading to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue gathering evidence and speaking with potential witnesses.
