The Manchester, Kentucky, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Robert L. Fisher Jr., 56, whose life was tragically cut short following a UTV versus pedestrian collision on Robinson Creek Road in Clay County on Thursday, July 9, 2026. As family, friends, and neighbors come together to grieve, they also remember a life that touched many hearts and leaves behind memories that will never be forgotten.
According to the Kentucky State Police, the collision occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. EST. Preliminary investigators determined that a Polaris UTV operated by Skyler L. Robinson, 34, of Manchester, was traveling east on Robinson Creek Road while checking farmland in the area. Authorities say Robert stepped from the shoulder of the roadway into the path of the UTV, and despite Robinson’s efforts, the collision could not be avoided.
Robert was transported by Clay County EMS to AdventHealth Manchester, where medical personnel fought to save his life. Tragically, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Clay County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing under Detective Shane Bowling of Kentucky State Police Post 11. Officials have stated that drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, although toxicology results are still pending.
Today, the focus is not only on the tragic circumstances of the accident but on the life of Robert L. Fisher Jr.—a man whose presence mattered deeply to those who knew and loved him.
