RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. — The tragic loss of Town Marshal Bradley Fisher has left the Lynn community and law enforcement agencies across Indiana mourning the passing of a dedicated public servant who gave his life while protecting others. His death during a pursuit on Wednesday morning is a heartbreaking reminder of the extraordinary risks officers willingly face in the line of duty.

According to the Indiana State Police, the incident began after a Randolph County deputy located a reported stolen vehicle connected to a suspect with multiple felony warrants. Although the vehicle initially stopped, the driver fled during a high-risk felony stop, leading officers on a pursuit through Randolph County. As the chase continued eastbound on U.S. 36 near Lynn, Marshal Fisher was attempting to deploy a tire deflation device when he was struck by the fleeing vehicle. Despite the immediate response of fellow officers and emergency personnel, he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect later lost control of the vehicle after colliding with a dump truck and was taken into custody.
