The heartbreaking loss of Michael Wade, a 15-year-old from Brighton Heights, has left his family, friends, classmates, and the wider community grieving. Michael tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on McKnight Road on Thursday night, turning what should have been an ordinary evening into an unimaginable tragedy. Emergency crews, including police officers, firefighters, and medics, responded to the 5000 block of McKnight Road at approximately 9:56 p.m. Ross Township Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident to determine exactly what happened.

 

Following the crash, McKnight Road was temporarily closed in both directions between Patrick Place and Seibert Road as first responders worked at the scene. The roadway has since reopened, but for those who knew and loved Michael, the pain of his loss will remain for years to come.
