A tragic chain of events in Tulsa ended with the death of 32-year-old Payden Bloem after authorities say he suffered a severe injury while breaking into a home during a burglary incident. The late-night situation unfolded on July 25, 2026, leaving behind a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly a series of events can turn into an unimaginable loss of life.

Tulsa Police Officers were first called around 10 p.m. to the Urban Oaks Apartments near 51st and Lewis following reports of a domestic dispute involving Bloem and his girlfriend. According to investigators, conflicting accounts were provided by those involved, including statements from the couple and their families.

After the initial call, officers located Bloem’s pickup truck near 60th and New Haven Avenue. Authorities said they arrived at the area and saw Bloem running away, prompting officers to establish a perimeter in an attempt to locate him.

The search later took a tragic turn when police received a burglary call from a nearby home near 58th and Yale. The homeowner reported that a shirtless man had entered the residence, was bleeding heavily, and was unresponsive on the floor.
