The Abington community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Sebastian Hamilton, a 17-year-old whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating single-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning. His untimely passing has left family, friends, classmates, and loved ones grieving a young life filled with hopes, dreams, and endless possibilities. As those closest to him struggle to come to terms with this unimaginable loss, heartfelt condolences continue to pour in for everyone affected by the tragedy.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and the Abington Police Department, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. on Washington Street in Abington. Police had observed a Hyundai Santa Fe that had previously been reported stolen and were attempting a motor vehicle stop when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree. Five individuals were inside the SUV at the time of the collision.

Sebastian Hamilton, who was driving the vehicle, became trapped inside the wreckage and was pronounced dead at the scene. One female passenger was ejected from the vehicle, while three other passengers—two males and one female—suffered life-threatening injuries. They were transported to area hospitals before being transferred to Boston medical facilities, where they remain under treatment.

The loss of such a young life serves as a painful reminder of how quickly tragedy can change countless lives. While the investigation by the Abington Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police remains ongoing, many are choosing to remember Sebastian not for the circumstances of his passing, but for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind.

May Sebastian Hamilton be remembered with love, and may his family and everyone affected by this tragedy find strength, comfort, and peace during this profoundly difficult time. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
