The McKinney community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Sandra Lee Lazarus, 77, and William Lavich Lazarus, 77, whose lives were tragically cut short in a two-vehicle crash on Friday evening at the intersection of Custer Road and Bedford Road in McKinney, Texas. Their sudden passing has left family, friends, neighbors, and all who knew them grieving an immeasurable loss while remembering the love and kindness they shared throughout their lives.
According to the McKinney Police Department, officers responded to the collision at approximately 6:26 p.m. involving a silver Hyundai and an orange BMW. Sandra and William, who were traveling in the Hyundai, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the BMW, identified as James Armont, 51, along with the vehicle’s passengers, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that authorities described as non-life-threatening. Police have confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
As the community awaits answers, today is also a time to reflect on two lives that touched so many others. Sandra and William will be remembered not for the tragedy that claimed their lives, but for the warmth, compassion, and devotion they brought to their family and friends.
