Downtown Pensacola Murder Investigation Update: Trevon Bradley Found Dead as Police Sought Arrest in Phillip Sheppard Jr. Killing.

The investigation into the fatal Downtown Pensacola shooting that claimed the life of 19-year-old Phillip Sheppard Jr. has reached a significant turning point. Authorities say 20-year-old Trevon Bradley, who was wanted on a manslaughter warrant in connection with Sheppard’s death, was found dead inside his apartment as law enforcement officers attempted to serve the warrant Thursday morning.

 

According to the Pensacola Police Department, officers responded to the Truman Arms apartment complex to execute the arrest warrant. Before officers attempted to enter the apartment, gunshots were heard coming from inside the residence. Police emphasized that none of the shots were fired by law enforcement.

 

After the scene was secured, officers entered the apartment and found Bradley deceased. Authorities have not yet released the official cause of his death, and the incident remains under investigation. No officers were injured during the operation.

 

The development marks a major update in the case that has deeply impacted the Pensacola community since the death of Phillip Sheppard Jr. While the search for the suspect has come to an end, investigators continue working to determine all the circumstances surrounding both Sheppard’s fatal shooting and Bradley’s death.
