A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded Saturday evening in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, as two beloved members of the Warfordsburg community, Ross DeShong, 54, and Paula Young, 50, lost their lives in a devastating motorcycle crash. The couple suffered fatal injuries after their motorcycle was struck by an SUV at the intersection of Lincoln Way West and Hade Road in Saint Thomas Township.

 

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened around 5:07 p.m. when DeShong and Young were traveling straight along Lincoln Way West. Investigators said an SUV turned into the motorcycle’s path, causing a violent collision that ejected both riders from the motorcycle.

 

Despite the efforts of emergency responders, DeShong and Young could not survive the injuries they sustained in the crash. Their deaths have left family members, friends, and the Warfordsburg community mourning the sudden loss of two lives taken far too soon.
