The Nampa and Caldwell communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jade Aliyah Ramirez, a 19-year-old mother whose life came to a tragic end following a fatal vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident that investigators have now determined was an intentional act. The devastating loss of Jade has left her family, friends, and loved ones searching for answers while holding onto the memories of the young woman whose life touched so many.
According to the Nampa Police Department, officers responded at approximately 4:20 a.m. on July 26, 2026, to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in a parking lot located in the 1500 block of Caldwell Boulevard. Jade, a resident of Caldwell, suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where medical professionals fought to save her life. Despite their efforts, she sadly succumbed to her injuries. The Ada County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that she died from multiple blunt force injuries.
As investigators worked to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy, authorities initially stated that there was not enough evidence to make an arrest. Detectives continued gathering information and examining evidence surrounding the incident.
During the investigation, police discovered that Jade and the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Alissa Mae Huerta of Caldwell, had been involved in an altercation before the vehicle struck Jade. After additional evidence was reviewed, detectives determined that the act of striking Jade with the vehicle was intentional.
Huerta was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder. She was transported and booked into the Canyon County Jail. Police officials said the investigation remains ongoing and are encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information to contact Nampa Police.
Beyond the tragedy surrounding her death, Jade Aliyah Ramirez will be remembered for the life she lived and the love she shared. She was a young mother, a daughter, a friend, and a person whose presence meant so much to those closest to her.
