The Blytheville community is grieving following the tragic death of Corey Fowler Sr., 50, who was fatally struck by a vehicle in what police describe as an ongoing investigation.
According to the Blytheville Police Department, officers responded to the 400 block of West McHaney on Saturday after receiving reports of a man lying in the roadway. When officers arrived, they found Corey Fowler Sr. unresponsive. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
As detectives continued their investigation, they determined that Fowler had been struck by a vehicle. Authorities are actively working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no additional details have been released at this time.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information that could assist investigators to contact the Blytheville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 870-763-4411.
