A tragic crash in Boone County has claimed the lives of two people and left another passenger seriously injured, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. on July 6 in the 7400 block of Industrial Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of a serious crash involving multiple occupants. Despite lifesaving efforts, authorities confirmed that the crash resulted in two fatalities.
One of the victims was identified as 55-year-old Shirley Hadden, of Cincinnati. Officials said Hadden died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The identity of the second person who was killed has not been included in the information released here.
A third passenger traveling in Hadden’s vehicle, a 70-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries in the crash. She was transported to UC Medical Center for treatment. According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, her injuries were serious but not considered life-threatening, and she continues to receive medical care.
Investigators remained at the scene for several hours following the collision, documenting evidence and working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash. The roadway was temporarily affected as emergency personnel conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the cause of the collision, and the investigation remains ongoing. Officials are expected to review witness statements, physical evidence, and other factors before determining exactly what happened.
