The Syracuse community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Alvine Mamadjimbaye, a 27-year-old woman whose life was tragically cut short after she was found dead inside a home on East Borden Avenue. Syracuse Police have officially ruled her death a homicide, leaving family members, friends, and neighbors searching for answers while grieving an unimaginable loss.
According to investigators, officers responded to a residence at 115 E. Borden Avenue on the evening of July 24 after receiving a report of an unresponsive woman. When first responders arrived, they discovered Alvine deceased inside the home. Following an investigation, authorities determined that her death was the result of a homicide. However, police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the case or the evidence that led to that determination.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and detectives continue to actively investigate. The Syracuse Police Department is urging anyone with information that could assist investigators to contact its Criminal Investigations Division as they work to bring justice to Alvine and her loved ones.
