With profound sadness, we remember Harvey Wayne Richards, a beloved 14-year-old from Dundee, Michigan, whose life was tragically cut short following a four-wheeler collision in Monroe County on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Harvey’s passing has left his family, friends, classmates, and the entire community facing an unimaginable loss.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 5:03 a.m. on Bacon Road in Summerfield Township when the four-wheeler carrying Harvey and 17-year-old Ethan Lee Kitts collided with an SUV. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, Harvey was pronounced dead at the scene. Ethan suffered critical injuries and was transported to a Toledo hospital for treatment. As Harvey’s loved ones grieve, many are also holding Ethan close in their thoughts and praying for his recovery.

Harvey’s life may have been far too short, but the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Fourteen years cannot measure the impact a young person can have on family, friends, and a community. His smile, personality, laughter, and the moments shared with him will become treasured memories that his loved ones carry forward.

The days ahead will undoubtedly be difficult for Harvey’s family as they try to cope with a loss no parent, sibling, relative, or friend should ever have to endure. May they find comfort in one another and in the memories that will never fade.

May Harvey Wayne Richards rest peacefully. Though he is gone far too soon, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May Ethan continue to receive strength and healing during this difficult time.
