The tragic crash occurred along State Highway 20, north of Courtenay, near mile marker 34, at approximately 10:15 p.m. According to the North Dakota State Patrol, Wyatt, a resident of McHenry, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2019 GMC Sierra. Despite the immediate efforts of first responders, Wyatt and the other driver involved suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in the GMC Sierra was seriously injured and transported for medical care. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
