The University of Jamestown community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Koleman Lind, a 24-year-old graduate assistant coach whose life was tragically cut short following a devastating three-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near Evansville, Minnesota, on July 19, 2026. Airlifted to a St. Cloud hospital after the collision, Koleman fought courageously but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The same crash also claimed the life of Harold Ennulat, while Kari Ennulat was left with life-threatening injuries.
Koleman Lind was much more than a basketball coach. He was a passionate mentor, an inspiring leader, and a compassionate friend who devoted himself to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. As a graduate assistant coach for the University of Jamestown women’s basketball team and head coach of the junior varsity program, he poured his heart into every practice, every game, and every player he coached.
Originally from Pine City, Minnesota, Koleman graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris with a degree in sport management before pursuing a master’s degree in leadership at the University of Jamestown. His dedication to basketball, education, and service reflected a remarkable character that earned the admiration of teammates, colleagues, and students alike.
Although his journey ended far too soon, Koleman’s legacy of kindness, determination, and unwavering commitment to others will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him. His impact reaches beyond the basketball court and will remain forever etched in the hearts of the University of Jamestown family and his loved ones.
